Terms
Last updated: 11 October 2026
These terms apply whenever you use Blaze. By creating an account or using Blaze, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use Blaze. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.
1. Who we are
Blaze is run by Giovanni Maria Miani, an individual based in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg ("we", "us"). You can contact us at blazeultraapp@gmail.com.
2. What Blaze is, and what it is not
Blaze is a planning tool. It helps you organise carbohydrates, fluids, sodium, caffeine and products across a race's aid stations, based on the targets and choices you enter.
Blaze is not medical or nutritional advice. The figures it shows are general guidance, not a prescription for your body. Tolerance to food, fluids, caffeine and sodium varies a lot from person to person.
- Test every product and every target in training before you use them in a race.
- If you have a medical condition, take medication, or are unsure what suits you, talk to a doctor or a qualified sports dietitian first.
- During a race, listen to your body and to race staff and medical teams. Their instructions come before any plan made in Blaze.
You remain responsible for your own decisions before and during a race.
3. Race and product information
Race details (distances, elevation, aid stations, cut-off times, mandatory gear) and product details (carbohydrate, sodium and caffeine content) come from public sources such as official race pages and brand information. We check them carefully, but they can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and organisers and brands can change them at any time.
Always check the official race information, such as the roadbook, cut-off times and mandatory gear list, and the label of each product you use. If you spot an error, please tell us through the feedback button.
Blaze is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by UTMB, any race organiser or any nutrition brand. All race names, product names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.
4. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- Give accurate information and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- An account is for one person only.
- You can stop using Blaze at any time. To delete your account and its data, write to blazeultraapp@gmail.com.
5. Acceptable use
When you use Blaze, you agree not to:
- break the law or other people's rights;
- try to access other users' data or parts of Blaze you are not allowed to use;
- disrupt, overload, attack or try to break Blaze's security;
- copy, scrape or resell Blaze's race data or content in bulk, or use automated tools to do so;
- send feedback or requests that are abusive, misleading or spam.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
6. Your content
Your strategies, notes and profile remain yours. You allow us to store and process them only as needed to run Blaze and show them to you.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely to improve Blaze, with no obligation to you.
7. Our content
Blaze's design, logo, texts, illustrations, software and the way race and product data is organised belong to us or our licensors. You may use Blaze for your own personal, non-commercial race planning. Any other use needs our written permission.
8. Price and changes to Blaze
Blaze is currently free. If we introduce paid features, we will tell you in advance, and you will pay only if you choose to.
Blaze is a young product that changes often. We may add, change or remove features, and we may pause or end the service. If we end it, we will try to give you notice so you can save your strategies.
9. Liability
We work to keep Blaze accurate and available, but we provide it "as is" and cannot promise it will always be error-free or online.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses that come from relying on Blaze's plans or data, such as a poor race result, a DNF or digestive problems, or for indirect losses.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit. This includes liability for intent or gross negligence, and for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Your mandatory rights as a consumer are not affected.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using Blaze and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. When an account is closed, we delete its data as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the "Last updated" date, and if a change is significant we will tell you by email or in the app before it applies. If you keep using Blaze after that, the new terms apply.
12. Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of Luxembourg. If you are a consumer living in the European Union, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence, and you can bring a claim in the courts there.
